Ray-tracing is a rendering technique that creates more realistic light effects. By using this rendering technique to simulate the physical behavior of light, you'll see it bounce off objects in the virtual world just as it would In reality.

While Ray tracing has been around for some time in the film and Tv production Industries, the launch of the Nvidia's RTX graphics cards (late 2018) market the first instance when it could be rendered in real-time, making it possible to incorporate it into video games. It isn't only light that benefits from Ray tracing; this more realistic behavior of light also creates more authentic reflections and shadows.

 Review on the launch of the RTX 3080 card The GeForce RTX 3080 launch was practically the best Gpu launch ever and the most frustrating. The acceptance of the Nvidia Ampere architecture Gpu's has been off the charts and drive alot of interests. Nvidia witnessed 4 times the unique visitors to their website; it was expected that the demand for the RTX 30-series, but the enthusiasm was overwhelming. According to one of our sources, they said they were on heavy fire since the launch which lead to the crashing of servers and alot of frequent questions were asked,though  we may not cover it all but at least here's a few;  Why did Nvidia send "Notify me" emails knowing that the RTX 3080 was out of stock ?   According to Nvidia they replied; we intended for "Notify me" emails to go out at 6:00 am with the targeted start of availability.
