THE PS5     The Sony ps5 will be the next generation play station console, replacing the ps4 slim and ps4 pro. Sony made the tactical decision to skip out on E3 2019, with no big announcements at Gamescon 2019 later in the year either. Microsoft has been more keen to show off it's xbox Project Scarlett console-which we know is also landing at the end of 2020-but it's still early days so we're not entirely sure how the inevitable ps5 vs xbox project scarlett battle will play out.     The ps4 and ps4 pro we're both $399 at launch, but we expect the ps5 will cost somewhat more recent leaks have suggested around $499 mark. The ps5 next_gen console will be compatible with current PSVR hardware
